Schools should teach respect to prevent bullying.

75% of Latinos support school policies to prevent harassment and bullying of kids who are gay or lesbian or who may be perceived to “look” or “act” gay, even if they are not.


Public schools are for all children, and schools have a role to play in preventing bullying and harassment.

Schools need to teach kids to treat each other with respect — and that includes teaching respect for students who may be gay, who may be perceived to be gay because of stereotypes, or who may have gay family members.
